In October 2024, Learning Forward kicked off a series of professional learning sessions in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education. The program brought together teams of district leaders from each of the state’s 24 districts and two special schools monthly over six months. The focus was on developing a system of high-quality professional learning to support Maryland’s educators as they continue to provide engaging and rigorous instruction for all students. Learning Forward partnered with the University of Maryland Center for Educational Innovation and Improvement to design and facilitate learning experiences aligned to practices that have been related to positive instructional and student outcomes.
