The Learning Forward South Carolina Affiliate and the Learning Forward Arizona Affiliate are recipients of the Learning Forward Foundation’s 2020 Dale Hair Affiliate Grant. The grant supports affiliates to rebuild, reorganize, or generate a stronger organization to advance Learning Forward’s mission and vision of professional learning. Terry Pruitt, director of the South Carolina Affiliate, says the group will use the award to build strength in the recently reorganized Affiliate through its diverse board of 18 K-12 and higher education state leaders. Goals include developing its mission statement and a long-range strategic plan that will increase South Carolina educators’ knowledge of Learning Forward’s Standards for Professional Learning and promote systemic change in educational leadership.
