Students have powerful but underutilized perspectives on the impact of educators’ professional learning. When students are directly engaged in providing feedback, they can offer unique insights into how professional learning translates into classroom practice and affects their learning experience. Incorporating student feedback also helps educators refine their approaches to meet the needs of their learners better. For example, at our school, Rufino Mendoza Elementary School in Fort Worth, Texas, feedback was collected through Google Forms surveys from students, teachers, and parents. Student responses highlighted a desire for more collaboration and creativity in lessons. In response, we implemented professional learning focused on cooperative learning strategies and hands-on STEM activities.
